Our President, Luke Johnson, is a third generation welder. After deciding he wanted to follow his grandfather’s and father’s footsteps, he successfully completed the Union journeymen steamfitters/welder program in Omaha, NE. Since then, Luke has been providing the midwest with perfected welds and designs. During his journey, he has obtained numerous welding certificates and licenses. This last year he successfully completed the UA 91 test, the first to do so in Omaha in over 15 years.

After being in the Union for 10 years, Luke saw the opportunity to start making metal into art, and started his own shop in 2018. This was when A&F was born! Although A&F Welding Services is not currently a Union 464 contractor, Luke still keeps a good standing with the Union as well as keeps his welding certificates, licenses, and continuing education up to date.

His wife, Taylor, runs the show behind the scenes. She comes from a successful small business family and has always dreamed of running her own business. Her background is in business management and marketing. When you call us, she will be the first person you speak with! When Luke and Taylor aren’t hard at work in the office or the shop, they enjoy spending time in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, cheering for the Huskers, traveling on long road trips, grilling a perfect steak, and most importantly, spending time with their daughter Adeline.
